BIDENOMICS IS KILLING US.
Inflation is a major concern for everyone. Bidenomics, with its excessive federal spending, is failing us. This year alone, the federal government will spend $2 trillion more than it takes in, adding $6,000 in new debt per person. Combined with existing debt and unfunded liabilities, this level of spending is unsustainable. We see rampant inflation everywhere, from groceries to housing. Essential items cost significantly more than they did four years ago. Higher interest rates on loans are a consequence of this inflation, reducing economic activity both nationwide and right here in the 2nd District.
OUR STATE BUDGET IS OUT OF CONTROL.
As a former Kansas House Representative, I understand the state budget, and I can tell you it’s out of control. From 2000 to 2025, Kansas General Fund spending increased 140%, more than double the inflation rate. Despite a $4 billion surplus, tax cuts have been minimal and ineffective. Governor Kelly vetoed significant tax cuts, and the recent special session only produced a token cut, which Senator Tom Holland rightly called insignificant. We deserve better financial management and real tax relief.
INCREASE PUBLIC SAFETY.
Crime is increasingly going unpunished. Progressive prosecutors from New York to Douglas County are lenient on criminals, often releasing them without proper consequences. This leniency makes our communities less safe. Additionally, the open border policy has allowed illegal immigrants with criminal records to enter the country, leading to increased crime and drug trafficking. Our safety and security are compromised, and we must put an end to these dangerous policies.
ENSURING A BETTER FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN.
The government should protect the vulnerable, including our children, but it’s failing them. Parents are primarily responsible for raising their children, and our laws should respect their rights. The current economy makes it tough for young people starting their lives. They are inheriting a mountain of debt, leading to high taxes and a lower standard of living. We must ensure a better future for our kids and grandkids by addressing these economic challenges now.
